A standout performance on “The Voice” earned four chair turns, Jennifer Hudson’s stilettos, Kelly Clarkson’s jacket, Adam Levine’s sneaker and Blake Shelton’s cup.
SandyRedd’s soulful rendition of Bishop Briggs’ “River” on Tuesday night’s episode impressed all four judges, who vied for the powerhouse singer to join their team.
“You are like fire. You are bleeding everything you want in this career; we can watch it,” Clarkson said after gaining her composure and her speech. “It was so magnificent. I don’t know who you are going to pick, but I don’t care. I just can’t wait to watch you on this show.”
Levine quickly interjected, “I do care who you pick. … You can win this and you should do it on my team.”
The mother of two was joined onstage by her children and two brothers to help make her tough decision.
Despite sharing Chicago roots with Hudson, who reminded the contestant she “gave you both of my shoes,” SandyRedd ultimately chose Clarkson as her coach.
Season 15 of “The Voice” airs at 8 ET Monday and Tuesday on NBC.
